Olena Urbanowicz, MSW, RSW - Social Work Associate
Olena Urbanowicz is a registered social worker and social work associate with Eden Dales Social Work (EDSW). She brings a diverse background in both community-based and clinical settings, offering trauma-informed support to individuals and families across Ontario.
Olena’s warm, compassionate, and client-centered approach is grounded in trauma- informed principles and guided by a strengths-based model. She has extensive experience providing crisis intervention and counselling through her work with victims of severe trauma, where she supported individuals in acute distress and those affected by traumatic loss, offering grief counselling. Olena is deeply skilled in helping clients navigate complex emotional, practical, and systemic challenges, including those arising from motor vehicle collisions and other traumatic events.
In her clinical work, Olena integrates a range of evidence-based modalities, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Mindfulness, Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), and Motivational Interviewing. She is also experienced in Ontario’s Statutory Accident Benefits Schedule (SABS), advocating for access to resources and supports that promote trauma recovery and functional independence.
Olena is fluent in English and Ukrainian and provides services to clients in and around the Peel Region, with a strong commitment to cultural sensitivity, empowerment, and collaborative care.
