Marly Caplan, MSW, RSW - Social Work Associate
Marly Caplan, social work associate with Eden Dales Social Work, is a compassionate and knowledgeable social worker, with focused expertise supporting individuals and families recovering from trauma, following motor vehicle accidents. She understands the complex and often overwhelming public and private systems clients must navigate—such as ODSP, OW, CPP, and the Ontario auto insurance sector—and provides step-by-step guidance, advocacy, and emotional support to clients and their families throughout the recovery journey. Marly helps clients and families access immediate funding, housing, connect with appropriate services, and regain a sense of control and dignity in the aftermath of trauma. Whether assisting with applications, attending care team meetings, or simply being a steady, calming and knowledgeable presence—Marly is committed to carefully and thoughtfully working with each client, with care and integrity.
With a Bachelor of Social Work from Toronto Metropolitan University and a Master of Social Work at the University of Toronto, Marly brings both academic excellence and meaningful frontline experience to her work. Her background includes direct support to individuals with cognitive and emotional needs at organizations such as Blue Door, Community Living York South, and Humanity First. She has supported the most vulnerable clients and families in our community, and approaches her through a client centered, anti-oppressive and compassionate lens. She has a warm, gentle demeanor and that, combined with her skills, make her a valued member of the EDSW team.
